Cara Millett

Cara was born and raised in South Portland, Maine. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Exercise Physiology form BU in 1999 on a full athletic scholarship. After graduation, she was a strength and conditioning coach at Burlington Sports Complex. She trained athletes of all calibers, ranging from grade school athletes to members of the New England Revolution, Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics. She was then offered a part-time position as an assistant women’s basketball coach at the University of Southern Maine. This position allowed Cara to pursue an opportunity to work as a licensed Realtor for First Choice Realty where she established herself as a leader and a top producer.

Cara additionally earned her Master’s degree in Business Administration at Providence College. After graduation, she found that a career in mortgage origination combined her love of real estate and finance. Cara first started with a large direct lender that offered extensive support and training. Cara’s passion to help clients become educated homeowners led her to become a part of a local mortgage company where she utilized her extensive knowledge of real estate to guide clients through the loan process. After eight years with this mortgage company, Cara then decided to join Home Loan Investment Bank, FSB in April of 2014.

Cara currently resides in Portsmouth, RI with her partner Bryce and two daughters, Greyson and Meyer. She enjoys hiking, kayaking and taking her three dogs Timber, Bow and Smoot for walks.
